Distributed Systems and Operating Systems
The Dept. of CS 4 has its focus in operating systems engineering, i.e., the combination of operating systems and software engineering, especially in the design and development of embedded operating systems. The activities also comprise work on fundamental concepts and architectures of operating systems and middleware for distributed systems, operating system abstractions and concepts for real-time applications and embedded systems, and modeling and performance evaluation of distributed and parallel systems.
Head of CS4 is Prof. Dr.-Ing. W. Schröder-Preikschat.
