This research area covers methods for continuous numerical simulation on supercomputers, methods
for discrete simulation and methods for conceptual modeling for different kinds of application areas.
It is taken as a basis for the degree program Computational Engineering which results in numerous
cooperations within the School of Engineering. Modeling and Simulation is as well a focal point
of the School of Engineering.
